Memorial Day in Mercer, Pennsylvania

At the last minute, we decided to road trip down to Mercer, PA to catch Lindsay and the Old Guard. This town was fantastic. The parade was short (we walked with the Corps), and afterwards there was a beautiful memorial program to honor our veterans. Here are a few shots from the day:

This is a shot of the cemetery where the memorial program was held.
Memorial Day is a day of mourning. Because of what Memorial Day represents, all the rest of the days of the year are our holidays.
- Quote from the memorial service flyer today.

The Old Guard snaps to attention just before step off.

First time we've seen Lindsay perform with the OGF&DC!

Jen gets a few nice shots on a beautiful day.

Poor, poor Andrew.

Mary tries to catch 40 winks while we travel.

We're very proud (notice spiffy new OGF&DC shirts on 'rents)

Umm........

Don is such a great ambassador for the corps. This lady was born in 1918.

Andrew, Lindsay and Kara.

Done for the day!
